A few years ago I began heavily researching and looking into the “gluten free” craze. A former friend of mine had elected a gluten free diet and I was not sure about how the decision would affect ones health. What I found is that certain food options were excluding particular grains and using other flour bases for ease of digestion. Hence why folks who suffer from Celiacs can enjoy the alternative food options in their diet. In my investigations, for those of us who choose gluten free and are not a slave to the dietary restriction, I found that by adding in gluten free food options creates for a more well balanced diet.
Gluten free foods have received such a terrible reputation for being tasteless, cardboard like, flavorless. Last I checked, potatoes, garbanzo beans, rice, to name a few, are pretty tasty in my diet. Though most have found these flours to be less than savory in their recipes and foods, snacks like The Gluten Free Bar and their newest addition Gluten Free Bites. The Gluten Free Bar offers delectable, healthy grab and go bites perfect for any occasion.
“We’re two brothers who get along well with each other, but not with gluten,†said Elliot Rader, Co-Founder and Partner at GFB. “Our goal is to create fun and flavorful gluten-free snacks for everyone – after all, eating is something we do each day so let’s enjoy it. The development of Bites has been an exciting transition into the cluster category. We basically combined the nutrition of a protein bar with the decadence of a truffle. No other cluster in the category does this and we’re excited to share the Bites with our customers.â€
Admittedly I hid this package from my kids. We received a package of the Dark Chocolate Coconut and PB&J to try out. With dark chocolate as my favorite (and most decadent) treat the GFB bites did not last more than a day. The bite size snacks, which are two bites a serving, they were easy to pop into your mouth and enjoy. Rich delicious flavor without any guilt. They have great MACRO figures, if you happen to track your macronutrients, with 5 grams of fat, 12 grams of carbohydrates and 4 grams of protein. Packed with goodness all around! The PB&J can’t be beat too with the same figures, not to mention it tastes just like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

I have actually tried these and must say they are very tasty! I took these to work and had them for a snack and right off I knew these were the best by far the healthiest of all so-called healthy snacks and treats. They had so much flavor. Also, I felt better knowing I was putting something healthy in my body and not feel guilty about it.
