Since our society has become all about convenience and fast food many of us have strayed from making our own goods. Needless to say a good portion of time goes into making and manufacturing our own foods and food items. However, something can be said for homemade without all the added chemicals, preservatives and sugar. One of our favorite appliances to use is our Blendtec blender; fabulous for smoothies, salsas, and I even made a cake in this little machine. So I wanted to make something a bit extra special this year in my blender, I fancied making my own peanut butter with my Blendtec.
Easy enough, as I had plenty of shelled, roasted peanuts that weren’t being used and I hate to let food go stale or go to waste. After some time shelling these tasty bites it was time to get to work.
The recipe in total is as follows for an eight ounce jar:
2 cups of nuts, your choice: peanut, almond, pecan
1 teaspoon coconut oil
(optional) splash of honey or dash of sugar for a hint of sweetness
The recipe is that simple, easy and no added hydrogenated oils or preservatives.
This recipe can be used for sandwiches, for dipping with fresh fruit and or for your favorite cookie recipe. Just add your patience, time and love with making your own peanut butter with your Blendtec blender.
I love homemade peanut butter. This looks super easy and I’m putting it on my to make list. The blender looks like it can really take the abuse of a real cook. I need to invest!
Thank you for the share. I am going to try this out.

This would be perfect in our home. Hubby goes through peanut butter like there is no tomorrow. It would be so neat to make our own. Thanks for sharing.
