Are you one of those ladies that love to peruse makeup? Look at all the beautiful colors and makeover options and adore the palettes and hues? I know I am one of them. Makeup is scary to me because I have been told I should wear certain hues and colors and shades and when I wear them and wear the suggested application I end up looking a bit like Tammy Faye Baker. Lipstick is especially scary for me because I would hate to look like a clown. Or worse, I have a horrible reaction because I have uber sensitive skin. Couple all these factors with the brutality of the Arizona climate, especially in summer, the whole bit reeks of disaster. Until I was introduced to Mineral Fusion which is a mineral cosmetics brand that creates beautiful colors and hues to accent and enhance any woman’s beauty and is completely vegan.
Based in Denver, Colorado Mineral Fusion began in 2007. The line expanded from just mineral cosmetics into body, hair, skin and nail care. The favorite Lipsticks from Mineral Fusion were the products I got to play with while traveling around the state and in my day-to-day routine.
The lipsticks are now formulated to be 100% Vegan, Gluten-free and are 65% organic! Available in 5 new shades for summer, this luxurious formula glides onto lips smoothly, delivering rich color with staying power. It resists smudging and feathering for an enhanced pout, while it protects lips against free radical damage thanks to its antioxidant mineral based formula, infused with Pomegranate, Red Tea and White Tea plus Vitamins C and E. Shea Butter and Jojoba Seed Oil also hydrate and condition, keeping lips soft and supple.
Nude, Ruby, Peony, Melon and Crush were the different shades of lipstick I was able to play with for my skin tone and mood. Check out the Melon, great for you neutral or warm shades, as I am wearing this during my trip to Northern Arizona on the Fourth of July.
What I loved most about the lipstick of Mineral Fusion was the true staying power of the color and the no clump, no lumpy, cottage cheese, drying and cracked look of wearing lipstick. Ladies you know what I am talking about right? You apply the lipstick and next thing you know you have to blot because you have this cakey feeling on your lips and your lipstick looks like it is curdling right on your lips. Super attractive. Or after you have had something to drink or eat and all that is left is the top third of your lipstick on your lips requiring you to reapply and even then it does not look like it did when you left this morning.
No joke, I love Mineral Fusion lipstick because I do not have to reapply unless I want to. The formula truly glides on smoothly, stays on and it did not rub off on my hubby. I really had to jam my face into him to get this stuff to come off. Here I am taking a quick selfie wearing Peony. In the 103 degree heat (at 1030 in the morning), 50% humidity, after I had coffee, water (from a straw no less!), went to the doctor, chewed gum, licked my lips, had a snack, I could go on. Normal wear and in the summer when the heat is brutal. This is a few hours of wear and it looks like it did when I first applied with NO blotting.
Even better is that I do not have to spend a fortune at a department store for a lipstick that may not even look good on me or wears horribly. Can you say cottage cheese lipstick wear? Plus I know and can relax in the 100% vegan ingredients and the majority are organic. You can find Mineral Fusion at local grocers like Whole Foods and I also found them at my local Sprouts grocery store.
Don’t have a Whole Foods in your area? Use the store locator option on the Mineral Fusion site or shop online for greater convenience and savings.
