Expand Imagination with Magnetic Construction Magformers

Magformers magnetc play sets promoting STEM education

Holiday shopping this year has been an absolute chore for me while shopping for my boys. They mentioned toys, but of course the toys they requested were just more Legos. Quite frankly my feet and my vacuum might not be able to take much more punishment from these construction bricks. So while perusing on Amazon on Black Friday I came across some really great construction sets that were out of the norm. They required just their imagination and magnetism. The construction pieces expanded their imagination with the use of magnetic construction and they are called Magformers.

Alternative to Wen Cleansing Conditioner

cleansing conditioner, wen alternative, alternative to wen by chaz dean, conditioning wash, cowash

Two years ago while working at the bank I was sharing how stresses in my life were affecting me, more so than just a normal affliction. My hair was breaking, I was shedding more, I was a wreck. As I began to conquer my stress I wanted to be more gentle on my hair as well, something that helped to improve the overall look and feel. My coworkers shared how they started using Wen and how much they loved the product. So I recalled using it previously and thought I would give it a whirl again. My mane could not thank me more with the extra softness, bounce, body, manageability and how my style would hold longer. What I couldn’t love was the obnoxious price of a subscription. Saving my account from the fleecing of the Wen brand and name, I canceled my subscription and began seeking an alternative to Wen cleansing conditioner. Deep River Snacks Chips & Charity Gift Set

Holidays are always about giving. Truly, the gift of giving and not receiving. So how about the gift of giving that truly keeps giving?

While on the hunt for some great gift ideas, stocking stuffers and the like, I learned about Deep River Snacks. Non-GMO, gluten-free, nut free snacks that are kettle cooked to tasty perfection. My family loves a good potato chip, especially kettle cooked, my kids always ask for them. Why not great snacks like these in their stocking as opposed to the traditional processed candy and sugary junk. Deep River Snacks has a wide variety of chips to choose from as well as the various flavors. In addition, Deep River Snacks cares just as much about what is on and in their bags as the people they touch. Continue reading “Deep River Snacks Chips & Charity Gift Set”

Eco-friendly Bamboo instead of Plastics from Vandor

bamboo drinkware, bamboo glasses, bamboo meal sets, my little pony bambooMy kids are still in the “kids” cup age. Two seven year old’s, while wiser and seemingly more mature than most seven year old children, are still clumsy and fumbly as they maneuver their evolving bodies. The Tween of the house likes the plastic cups for the convenience, and quite frankly, he is a bit fumbly himself as he grows into a man-child. This year though I have been trying to eliminate more and more toxins and add eco-friendly products in our home. I think this is great for my family’s overall health and is invaluable for the lessons I am teaching my children regarding Earth friendly products that are sustainable and great for long term health. Great products are emerging that are as hardy and rugged as plastic such as bamboo, which is sustainable and eco-friendly. Continue reading “Eco-friendly Bamboo instead of Plastics from Vandor”

Easy Applesauce Ornaments

DIY christmas ornaments, cinnamon applesauce ornaments, christmas ornaments

Holidays are always a fun time of year for decorating, crafting and baking. So many ideas for homemade and DIY gifts, crafts, baked goods and more. About six years ago when I had more time than patience, I spent an entire holiday season baking, crafting and flexing my creative prowess to her max. One of my all time favorite and easiest holiday crafts to make were applesauce ornaments. My kids absolutely loved them; to this day they still love them because of the fun involved in making them and the smell. This is my recipe for an easy Christmas ornaments project  you can enjoy with your kids each year and for years to come, plus these make wonderful additions to gift wrapping. Obligatory Family

siblings, summer fun, kids camping

Late year holidays are always my favorite time of year, Thanksgiving, Christmas; I am giddy with child-like excitement for family, fellowship and togetherness. Adult life, however, exposes the harsh reality of the holiday season, family dynamics and beautiful let downs. Togetherness with family is not always about togetherness, connection, love; the events lack joy, communion and are more of a collective obligatory duty. Continue reading “Obligatory Family”

Aurorae Sport & Swim Towel

aurorae sport and swim towel

Living an active lifestyle is rather messy. A day at the gym and I am a hot mess. An afternoon by my pool is much the same, sweaty and drenched in water in some fashion. Hikes in the cooler mornings and temperatures can also result in being a bit disheveled. Using my clothes to soak up my events makes me a bit more uncomfortable, so I always take a towel. I am finding that my usual hand towels cannot stand up to the job. Continue reading “Aurorae Sport & Swim Towel”

Hands Free Cradle Free iMagnet Mount

imagnet mount, cell phone cradle, cell phone magnet, cell phone holder

My husband is a gadget dude. He is all about the coolest and fun tech gear. He is in IT so of course this whets his pallet. When we bought our Jeep we realized we had no where to place our cell phone and phones. The one spot we have is under our emergency break and results in difficulty when driving to grab the phone and pass to the passenger for handling. So The Chad has been looking for an innovative gadget that will cradle his phone but doesn’t require two hands. Continue reading “Hands Free Cradle Free iMagnet Mount”
