In all our busyness we often resort to fast food or less than fulfilling food options. We lack the several servings of fruits and vegetables daily in our diet. Quite frankly for most of us this deficit shows as we are missing out on all the essential nutrients and proprietary building blocks our bodies need to thrive and remain healthy. Even vitamin supplementation is not enough to provide energy, reduce inflammation and support an overall state of well-being. Continue reading “Greens Plus Green Superfood for Total Body Nutrition”
Nature’s Bakery Fig Bars – Snacks on the Go!
Some years ago I wrote about school lunch and the atrocities. Since that day I vowed I would make my children’s lunch everyday so that I knew what they were eating. Food is such an important factor in our daily lives from basic nutritional factors to the types of food we eat. I always try to make sure that my kids have a lunch that fuels their bodies and their brains right down to the snack options. Continue reading “Nature’s Bakery Fig Bars – Snacks on the Go!”
Pucker Up Lip Scrub by GlaMER
Tis the season for dry, chapped skin. Living in Arizona’s harsh climate I am no stranger to dry weather, heat, dry, gusty winds and overall arid climate. We are constantly applying some form of moisturizer in order to stay well hydrated with our skin. My lips are much of the same and we often neglect these beauties because we are either licking with them, kissing with them, drinking with them, so why wouldn’t they be well hydrated. Cooking with Oil & Vinegar
Food is my passion. Cooking and food fall in line somewhere behind my love of God, my kids, my husband…you know it is somewhere behind them. So I am always trying new spices, new flavors, new ways to cook and share my love of all things food and culinary with my family. I am also never afraid to experiment with flavors and foods, my family gives tons of grace in that respect. In addition to all of these things, I love to find products that are unique, responsibly sourced and fun. Continue reading “Cooking with Oil & Vinegar”
How Low Testosterone Affected My Health
Sitting at my desk at work I was flip flopping between hot flashes and cold spells. “I must be getting sick” as I rationalized my condition. Heightened emotions also accompanied with rolling feelings of exhaustion, as I simply could not get out of bed anymore. I was even falling asleep shortly after dinner, so I rationalized that too, “Well maybe I am going to start my period.” Even though I just went through my cycle and I was not experiencing the traditional monster pimple that rears itself just before I start, I made that excuse as my personal self-diagnosis. For weeks these feelings continued. For months I rationalized what was wrong with me. Until I made the appointment with my doctor to really see what was going on with my health. Continue reading “How Low Testosterone Affected My Health”
Even Steven Fair and Square
Growing up everything was literally an “even Steven” sort of situation. The oldest of three children, the middle grandchild on my mother’s side, both my maternal grandmother and my mother were obsessed with making everything equal. If you want to know about equality these two ladies have the market cornered for equality among children. Everything was fair and square, from each penny spent on back to school clothes to lunches and even Christmas presents. Continue reading “Even Steven Fair and Square”

Wearing and applying makeup can be such a chore. For women we are always looking for that stunning evening look or natural daytime eye shadow without looking like a hot mess of Tammy Faye Baker. The problem with eye shadow is that when we want to mix some colors for that great blended look, we have to try to find spare tissue to swirl our shadow brush into in order to get rid of the previous color. Even then we are left with a hit or miss opportunity for well set makeup. Not to mention cleaning, cleaning brushes is always a chore and if not cleaned properly, the end result is wasted money due to ruining our brushes. Continue reading “Color Switch by Vera Mona”
CLA for flat belly
As someone who works out on a regimented basis I am always looking to ensure I am adding all the proper supplements to my diet and exercise routine. Working with weights and cardio exercise can take a toll if you are not eating and or sleeping properly. Not to mention our foods do not always have the adequate amount of nutrition we need for a fully rounded diet. So I like to supplement in my diet, such as a good fish oil and daily multivitamin. Oil Pulling
Oil pulling, an ancient Ayurvedic practice that many consumers are beginning to incorporate into their oral care routines, at the encouragement of their dentists. That’s because oil pulling can result in whiter teeth, better breath, cavity and gingivitis prevention, and less plaque build-up. Of course, it is still necessary to brush and floss teeth as well.
